My movie of the week have been The Gamer, a.k.a. what the hell was that?

Mark Neveldine, man, what's the world did so wrong to you that you hate us SO much? I knew he was directing this (didn't know he was also writing and producing it though) but the movie didn't sound that bad after all, I thought that maybe Cranck had been a horrible accident and maybe Mr. Neveldine was able to do a better product with a better story but it looks like it wasn't an accident after all, in fact I have to admit that M.L. has a personal style, a weird bizarre one, 20 minutes into the movie I still thought that I could get used to the overused effects, movement of the camera, changes of music and pace and all the stuff he abuses non stop, but nope, it all escalated and soon I was just laughing at all that crap, (BTW honorable mention to Milo V. man you do NOT want people to remember your career as the guy who did THAT, the parody of Old Boy was funny, THIS is something you don't want to repeat, please) seriously, I would say it got surrealist but it doesn't even deserve that, surrealism is for example the last episode of Love Contract, the Gamer? it's simple and pure crap, I couldn't believe it when suddenly Shawn and agent O'Hara appeared on screen (Gus, where were you dear?) and it all went down the hill at speed of light when Michael Hall started to sing and dance and Gerard Butler was there looking at that horrible show while wondering why the hell did he agree to do this movie, oh yes, the check of course, Gerard don't you dare to do this to me again.

On the tv front I've mainlined the 2 seasons of true blood since friday, up to season 2 episode 10, I don't know why it sucks my brain and make me keep watching when I hate more than 80% of the characters and the plot is so simple it could have been developed in 2 hours instead of 2 seasons.Right now up to ep10 my hate list has changed again, Sookie and Bill are still my numbers 1 and 2 among the people I want to see dead but Tara has moved again from number 4 to number 3 stealing Sam's place at the podium, yep Tara that disgusting punching thing has push you up again. Godric I love you, not your hairstyle though.

To counteract all this True blood nonsensical attraction CW is taking action, Supernatural is coming! life is good.

Currently mainlining True Blood season one, up to episode 8 and I no longer want Tara to die, I want her to take a machete and chop Sookie into tiny little pieces, that'll show her to quit that selfish mememememe attitude once and for all, then she can go and die too if she pleases.

On a second note, Sam you're creepy and disgusting and I want to see you dead too.

I'm 8 episodes into it and I loathe every single character except Jason, his 2 buddies and of course Lafayette, they should move to the big city and open the most awesome sex shop on earth, and let Eric raid over the whole town.

Why are all these people so annoying to me and why can't I stop watching?!?!?!?!?!

Why after all these years I suddently have the urge to rewatch Best of the best? weird...

I was reading Yahoo!spain cinema and they were blogging about Sherlock Holmes, they say it's already labeled as "homoerotic" due to the level of shirtlesness.... WHAT? LOLOLOLOL, I would guess in any case it should be due to the relation between Sherlock and Watson (IF it reads as homo which I can't say until I watch it), but... since when shirtlessness = homoerotic? Surely I've missed something, me and a gazillion of fangirls all over the world, yep...

I said that this show would last 4 ep., yep, it's up to the 6th one and somehow I'm still watching... why? I HAVE NO IDEA, probably because it's bizarre, and easy, and stereotyped, and.. mostly BIZARRE, yes, and it allows you to laugh AT it, in fact encourages you to (I refuse to believe it's not on purpose, nononono).

GI JOE! The Divine Weapon! Chocolate, so many action movies I want to rave about, a pity that I don't feel like writing or even thinking *in english*.

I was thinking that Right Now was the perfect moment for purchasing a twdrama for the first time, the chosen one -> Black&White, so.... why not adding too my fav twdrama Mars to the treat? well, because the only one available is the japanese edition as cheap as $325!!!! OMFG!!!!! the only thing that's gonna stop me from ranting for hours about this is that since it's the japanese edition it doesn't have english or spanish subs anyway.

At least I have 2 new Partner episodes waiting to be viewed, and Desperate Romantics 3 too.

I was writing a proper review of Buzzer Beat yesterday but after resizing all the caps I've realized I first need to drool and self indulge into the most uber delightful nonsensical fanservice of this drama, because, yes, there's some woman out there, in charge of the cast, who has realized the amount of men here who were going to play as sportmen and was wise enough to contact the woman/gay male in charge of this important part of the writing that is FANSERVICE, they've joined their minds and used it for making The Good.

The result? the higher shirtlessness/screen-time ratio of the century, probably of any century, and completely unnecessary for the plot, ( I HIGHLY APROVE )

So yes, I'm loving it and I'm ridiculously anticipating each episode, and not, it's not for the fanservice (though I'm not complaining ^_______^), I appreciate it but the drama is delicious, ridiculously cute, just like those I use to eat slowly letting them melt in my mouth.

Yes, I have to, I was expecting something different from this movie, all the plot descriptions that I've read are brief and points to a very simple and easy development --> the King of Goryeo is going to be dethroned by the Yuan dynasty, the excuse is that he hasn't had a son to be successor of the throne, hence the king, who is not into women at all, decides to give the task of getting the queen pregnant to his general/lover, hmmmm, I could see the Mists of Avalon miniseries trio scene in my mind written word but word, but even if it's predictable I still wanted to watch it, and what the hell, it has kind of surprised me in a good way so far, it has all the good things I wanted to see and a different take onto the 3 leads that I wasn't expecting, have I mentioned the prettiness?





So, reasons to at least give it a try:

And the one that really has captured my attention, ( Character development, character development, character development maybe a bit spoilery, but nothing a 6 years old child couldn't imagine )

I haven't included the sex scenes in the thumbs up list, just because I'm waiting to watch the second half yet, I'm right now at that edge of having too much unnecessary sex scenes, not that I complain of having In-seong Jo completely naked 80% of the time and Joo Jin Mo barechest is never enough, but seriously, sometimes too much gets simply boring, don't underestimate the power of fade to black.

So yes, I watched Terminator 4 yesterday and had a lot of fun, I guess I have to thank Mr Harry Knowles for entirely killing my expectations so I could at least enjoy something without expecting the awesomeness that a movie about John Connor should be. Is it good? nope but I would watch it a thousand times... or maybe not, anyway it shouldn't been named terminator, it was more of a postapocalyptic sci-fi wannabe, and the most exciting moment was at the end of the opening credits when the ost builds up to the chanan chanchanan! chanan chanchanan! chanan chanchanan! that's the last terminator taste you'll get out of it, but it's still enjoyable... in a way, after this I can only ramble in a huge spoilery way.

( Someone, please go and tell Sarah Connor to add a copy of the first 2 movies when she packs that set of cassettes for her kid John )

And yes, even after all this I still had fun, sue me, and going against mr. Knowles I find it much much better that T3 aka at my den as "that movie that didn't happen and doesn't exist".

And to keep with the movie rambling, Blood should have been already released, at least in japan, right? I want to watch it and Thirst so badly and there's no way I can find them, grrrr......

After thinking hard about the reasons of not having enough time to do the things I like to do I've come to the conclusion that work takes too much of my time, yay for me, now I just need to find a way to get the money without going to work, maybe I'm just cranky, it doesn't help that my fridays have 11 working hours, once and again and again... :( And now even the weather slaps me in the face with a storm out of nowhere after a day of 30ºC temps, grrrrrrr........

But then I've came home and found in my mailbox a message from dear syliasyliasylia with a link to the V series trailer, OMFG! it's going to be legendary, or suck big time, or.... I don't know but I gotta watch it so badly! I should have quit while winning instead of clicking on the link next to it with Harry Knowles' review of the new Terminator movie, oh no please don't, this can't be happening, I need him to be wrong, so totally wrong! after Wolverine... if this one sucks my summer movie fix will be almost ruined! I'll have to rely on GIJoe and that's just unthinkable! PLEASE!

On the tv front Supernatural has given me all I needed and can't wait for more, love you kripke! And I've added to my watchlist a new show called Boy meets girl, I'm curious about it and hope they don't stay in the obvious and overused stuff.

But then on the other hand asia is not fulfilling my needs lately, where are you Smile? and Boss? and Black & White? I need my hardsubbed comfort dramas (maybe not "comfort" but they are in one of my bad mood days, better than chocolate) and I'm not getting them ,at this rate I'll end watching B&W on streaming which I hate but at least I'll be able to watch one of them :(

I just read at Dramabeans' blog that Uhm Tae Woong will be leading Queen Seok Deok, I just refused to watch any sageuk of the upcoming seasons, they are awfully looooong and I'm not in the mood and now they come and throw this to my face!
How can I NOT try at least the first episodes now?

Plus Corea is making a remake of the man who can't get married too! I loved the jdrama (kekkon dekinai otoko), what's not to love with Abe Hiroshi doing what he does best? and the kdrama version will have Uhm Jung-Hwa too? How did I miss all this information and why?

Lately I've been filling my asian needs with japanese and *gasp* taiwanese dramas, it's nice to have a kdrama to look forward to again.

I've just finished episode 2 of Smile, after watching the first one I thought something was kind of odd, now I'm thinking poor junkun is in death row? please don't do this jdrama! let it only be my imagination flying high.

And I watched too the first episode of Black & White, as for now it could be called Tango & Cash go together to Taiwan, one on crack, the other on the coolest fix of coolness, and yes, I liked it, maybe tonight, when my sore throat won't let me sleep again it will be time to check the second episode, on drugs.

Yesterday, Wolverine, it could have been so awesome yet didn't, decades of writings about him didn't help at all to the writers of the film? not at all, it has its flaws, its goods too, and then its stupidity that is actually what completely ruins the movie, boring? not really, but if I'd had cheetos at hand and the screen nearer throwing them would have been a funnier experience and that wouldn't make the film better at all, right?

The pros:

- Hugh Jackman has born to embody Wolverine, he has lots of shirtless moments and he doesn't even really need those to rock the character 'cos he knows how to act too and nails Logans' attitude.

- Liev Schreiber, period, this guy nails everything and anything he does and this is no exception, credible as hell as Victor Creed, I want more.

- Some of the action scenes of both of them were absolutely cool, not necessarily the ones where they fight each other, enough said...

The cons:

- Daniel Henney looking at Hugh Jackman all the time with that "yum! call me oppa" look in his eyes, as in the worst slash fiction ever (or maybe my brain was in an evil mode at that time already)

If they'd just put Logan and Creed in a locked house fighting each other for 1 hour and a half it would have been enough.

I need my anual summer action movie fix, let's wait for terminator...

And since I'm already in a rant mood let's talk about painter of the wind/portrait of a beauty, this is one of the moments I'd love to be able to read corean and check out the book because you can't have a drama and a movie so different claiming to be adaptations of the same book, ( seriously. )

End of rant, I'd just wish to read the book and see what is it about...

I watched the pilot and the first episode yesterday night, and what can I say, the premise of a werewolf, a vampire and a ghost sharing a flat was interesting enough for me to try it, and I enjoyed the pilot so much, but I can't say the same for the first episode, ( maybe it's due to the recasts, or maybe just the plot but something didn't worked as well as the pilot IMO,  )yet I'll give the second episode a chance tonight.

Other than that I've seen Parks and Recreation too and it's top notch, highly recommended for anyone who like the kind of humor of The Office.

Sometimes small things get on my nerves, now it's my pc again, from time to time my pc decides to give me a little surprise ruining the function of one of the periferics, the last one has been the scanner, I can't live without my scanner for long, so minutes ago I've unplugged it and connected it to my laptop instead, the reaction of my pc? he has decided that the keyboard will be blocked from now on, grrrrrrr!!!!! DIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEE!!!!! Hence I'm writing this from the laptop, diediedieeeeeee stupid computer from heeeeeeell!!!!!
